Fresh from his Canoe 20 tour full of highlights, including a special Canoe showcase at ADE, stand-out sets at Homoelectric, Fabric, Forge, and a recent Phonica in-store with Bradley Zero and Grace Sands, Nyra continues celebrations with this latest release. With an enviable career at the forefront of some of the UK’s best underground parties, Nyra’s talent for a flawless bumper shines release after release. His wealth of knowledge and expertise is crystallised in Canoe Records, consistently producing elite dancefloor gear since 2017 and now celebrating its twentieth release with aptly titled ‘Park Hill Party’.

Like its predecessors, the massive ‘Total Feeling’, ‘City Sauna’ and ‘Happy Highs’, these Canoe milestone releases are all packed with classic house references, a nod to Nyra’s own musical journey and broad sonic knowledge as a DJ and producer, each one with its own unique flavour placing them squarely in the ‘now’. On ‘Park Hill Party’ we are treated to a triumphant slice of house that has echoes of a modern-day Lil Louis ‘French Kiss’ before erupting into joyful hi NRG synths and whistles, letting us know the party has truly started. Another perfectly celebratory future classic from the label and its bossman that keeps on giving. Here’s to the next twenty!!

Nyra says:

“With this being the 20th release we thought it was only fitting to have a party, a Park Hill Party”

The London-based DJ/producer has been carving his own path on the underground since 2008, with his celebrated parties in his hometown Sheffield, drawing guests including Ben UFO and Steffi. A move to London and a career switch from professional cyclist saw his profile rise further, with releases on labels including Secretsundaze and Domino, alongside his own imprint, Canoe.

A current resident of acclaimed London party, Adonis, Nyra has received key tastemaker support for his own productions from the likes of Pete Tong, Peggy Gou, Roi Perez and Jennifer Cardini, and Call Super to name a few while his reputation for tearing up the dancefloor has seen him play across the UK, and EU, including recent outings at Boiler Room, Sonar, Fabric, ADE, Glastonbury, Berghain and Circoloco.
