Berlin-based DJ, producer and SNOE label boss Beth Lydi continues to grow as a rising name within the realms of house and tech-house. Raised in Oslo, Lydi’s recent material has recently taken her stateside with a series of releases via DIRTYBIRD, Percomaniacs and Desert Hearts Records, and it’s the latter where she returns to open spring with ‘This Is Love’. The track enters as zipping leads and raw synths contrast against the evolving questions and queries.

“This is a release made during a period of my life that was full of changes. All tracks have quite different personalities, each with different strengths for the dancefloor. It is important to me to make music that makes you feel something and reflect a bit, giving you that sense of freedom on the dancefloor.

‘This Is Love’ works thematically around questions such as what is love, security, and an honest representation of love? In the song, vulnerability and insecurity meet the desire for security, courage and the will to dare through poetic sentences and raw synthesizer sounds. The vision for the music video is to show love in all its fantastic forms, both to make a statement against discrimination and to support all the beautiful ways we love each other through visible representation.” – Beth Lydi
