Just in time for Christmas, Orsen drops his very unofficial remake of the classic Grace – Not Over Yet. Under his ‘Orsen’ moniker, Dan has created a sonically unique space for himself, taking influence from multiple styles of electronic music, often working with found sounds and sound design to form a fundamental basis for his material to create a unique blend of electronica, contemporary progressive house and techno oriented productions.
Working as Orsen, Dan has always been selective with releasing music, only releasing on a small handful of labels, which has seen his original productions and and remixes hit the top of the charts with his #1 selling ‘Komorebi EP’ on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music as well as building an impressive catalogue of works on his spiritual home, Replug Records. Orsen’s releases on Replug have captivated the scene through several high profile EP’s and in 2019/20 most notably, his collaboration work with label partner Cid Inc. on the chart topping ‘Ten’ marking the labels 10 year anniversary.
Dan’s ethos is always to create and play original music with an immediate sonic identity, trying to make something a little different in a crowded space with every release, with his music gaining an enviable roster of supporters from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Sasha, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn, Cristoph and many other top tier DJ’s and tastemakers.
As well as garnering a reputation amongst his fans and peers alike for his broad array of productions the last couple of years, Dan is also the Co-Label Manager at the renowned electronic music imprint Replug Records, alongside one of the scenes pioneering Producer/DJ’s Cid Inc.
Replug has over time become a go to label for people who follow the more underground sounds of ‘Progressive House’ in all of its forms, continuously charting as a Top 10 genre label on Beatport along with gaining multiple Number 1 and Top 10 selling tracks and releases on the site.
