Originally launched in 1996 by Roy Davis Jr. and Odell Brazier, Undaground Therapy Muzik was relaunched in 2018. Fast forward five years, and in 2023 for the first time the full back catalogue will be digitalised. Kickstarting the landmark year for the label is the reissue of the 1999 classic Men From The Nile ft Peven Everett Watch Them Come, with remixes from; Green Velvet, Soul Clap, Matt N Ricky, Derrick Carter, Jazzanova and DJ Pierre.

This re-release of The Men From The Nile “Watch Them Come” brings me and my team some long awaited excitement! It brings us great pleasure to drop this back to the forefront of this next generation with some fresh new touches and dope remixes by Soul Clap, Matt & Ricky, and the man himself Cajmere aka Green Velvet. Alongside a selection of the remixes that have come out in years prior from people who’ve been part of the UTM story! Jazzanova, DJ Pierre and Derrick Carter!” Roy Davis Jr.

Standing the test of time and a testament to its dancefloor-ready grooves, Watch Them Come opens up the EP and still sounds as fresh as ever. Men From The Nile is a collaboration between Roy Davis Jr. and Jay Juniel, and for Watch Them Come they enlisted the legendary vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Peven Everett to complete the tribal cut.

For the reissue, Men From The Nile are joined by some of the biggest names in dance music. Green Velvet aka Cajmere has been a mainstay in the Chicago circuit since the 90s, making a name for himself as a multifaceted artist  as well as label head at Cajual Records and Relief Records. Key players in the club scene for over two decades, Boston duo Soul Clap launched Soul Clap Records in 2012 and have since released more than 450 tracks on their imprint. They can also be found in the Crew Love collective alongside Wolf + Lamb and Double Standard. One of the pinnacle figures in the Chicago House scene, Derrick Carter needs no introduction. Releasing his debut single Love Me Right  in 1987, he has become a leading figure in dance music. Jazzanova are a Berlin based collective with a production career spanning over two decades. Chicago born DJ Pierre changed the scene forever with the release of  his Acid Tracks EP in 1987, as it saw the birth of acid house.

A seminal figure in the electronic sphere, and a key pioneer of Chicago House music Roy Davis Jr. was recently featured in the revered Resident Advisor podcast series. Over the last three decades he has toured globally, released seven albums, hundreds of records and consistently championed Chicago’s history and musical heritage.
