New York DJ and producer Tedd Patterson has teamed up with Inaya Day on his latest single, Piece of Me, ahead of a forthcoming new album on SoSure Music.

Patterson, who held a 13-year residency at legendary New York club Cielo, as well as playing a central part in the legendary The Magic Sessions, alongside all-stars Louie Vega and Tony Humphries, is a regular at events such as Glitterbox and Horse Meat Disco.

Currently, he performs at the new crop of LGBTQ club nights in New York, including Ladyfags’ Battle Hymn party, and is also resident at Brooklyn’s House Of Yes.

As a producer and remixer, he has released on the likes of Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Defected, Stereo, Junior Boys Own, Unquantize, and Rekids. Recent studio endeavours showcase his collaborative work with artists such as Joi Cardwell, Ultra Naté, Danism, and The Illustrious Blacks.

Honey Dijon has cited him as a “personal hero”, adding that “his artistry and passion for music laid the foundation for how I present music to this day”.

Elsewhere, according to Terry Farley, “Tedd Patterson is a real New York institution, he’s from the dance-floor. A product of the 90’s heyday of Sound Factory and SF Bar, you can hear that heritage in his productions and when he plays. In my opinion, a real torch bearer for all that is fabulous and legendary about NYC.”

Piece of Me is described as a ‘high energy, funkified dancefloor filler, packed with NYC swing’, and can be downloaded/streamed here.
