909originals has a pair of tickets to give away to Genesis – The Final Chapter, taking place at the Sound House, Dublin, this Friday, and featuring some legendary names from the Irish dance scene.

Genesis co-founder and resident Gedge will be joined by Johnny Moy and Francois in the Main Room, while fellow Genesis co-founder Mig will appear on the Terrace alongside Flavrjay and Pete Dancer.

It all kicks off at 11pm on Friday 30 September at the Sound House, 28 Eden Quay.

Genesis was borne out of the afterparty scene of the mid 90s, with residents Gedge and Mig playing in a variety of houses, fields and beaches before taking up residency at Fusion, above McGraths’s on O’Connell Street, where it soon became a regular bank holiday soirée.

It was a collective of creatives, with each individual an integral part of bringing the ethos to life – Boz creating the artwork, the crew tirelessly handing out flyers, the folk helping with the equipment, lighting, club decor and, of course, the crowd dancing their socks off.

Over the years, regular guests included the likes of Francois, Jon Hussey, Pat Hyland, Warren K, Ollie Moore, Sunil Sharpe and Giles Armstrong among others, with Genesis nights also taking place in the Parnell Mooney, Ormond Multimedia Centre and the Temple Bar Music Centre over the years… not to mention at a host of free parties.

This Friday, Genesis returns for one final chapter – with the same residents, same ethos, same artists… with some new memories to create.

To win a pair of tickets, simply visit 909originals on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, and tag a friend that you’d like to bring along  – the winner will be contacted Thursday evening. Tickets for the night are available here.
